Death has taken your friend, brother, or lover. A single shot to the head was all it took, but as their body falls to the ground you rush to them. You grab them, fill their body with life-giving energy and deny death its prize. |
You touch a living creature that has either died or been put under an effect that would leave them permanently incapacitated since the end of your last turn. If you concentrate on this spell for the full duration and remain within 1 meter of the chosen creature during that time, then that creature makes one more saving throw when the spell ends. If the creature is under the effect of a spell that would leave it permanently incapacitated, it makes a DC 10 Constitution saving throw. On a success, the condition is ended on that creature. If it is caused by a curse, this does not necessarily dispel the curse. If the creature is dead, it makes a death-saving throw. On a success, it returns to life with 1 hit point. On a fail, the spell fails. This spell can’t return life to a creature that has died of old age, nor can it restore any missing body parts or cure diseases. For example, if a creature has been decapitated you will need to reunite the head with the body. If it was killed by terminal cancer, it will die again soon after the resurrection. You can start casting the spell on any limb, but if that part is not reunited with the rest of the body before the spell ends, the spell fails. While under the effect of this spell, the creature does not count as dead in regard to determining how long it has been dead. |
