You knit your fingers together as the rainbow colored light on your forearms turns into tendrils of darkness and twist over your fingers. As you pull your hands apart, a cloak of blackest night flows over you and hides you from sight. Tendrils of darkness creep along the sight of your vision, as the magical darkness covers your body.
You generate a photon desistance field that covers you and anything you are wearing.
While in dark or dim light you receive a +10 bonus on stealth checks to remain out of sight and are invisible to creatures that rely on darkvision to see you. The darkness prevents you from being automatically detected by infra-red vision, but a creature with that ability can still see you as a shadow in their vision and you do not benefit from the above bonus against them.
While the shadow cloak is active, you are resistant to radiant damage and any radiant damage you take is dealt to your Vitality instead. You are also unaffected by sunlight.
This spell is silent.
Upcast: Spend an additional 2 Vitality to extend the spell to another creature you are touching. The spell ends for the other creature if you stop touching it.
Silent. Most spells make a lot of noise when cast, or have flashy effects that reveal the caster’s presence to anyone nearby. A spell that is silent makes no noise when cast and so does not reveal the caster’s location to nearby creatures, but if a creature can see the caster it is still obvious that they are casting a spell.
