Louis Krahn

Passionate author, firefighter, and lawyer.

I finished a book and two more halfway before I first started writing for the New World. At first, I only rolled dice to randomly determine some events, but after my first contact with DnD, I went further. I developed an entire system to adjudicate the book's events and now this system is slowly being refined into something usable outside the controlled confines of a book. Studying law turned out to be unexpectedly useful here, since drafting a game system is a lot like drafting governance texts: you have to anticipate edge cases, close loopholes, and write rules clear enough that two different people reading them reach the same conclusion. It turned out that I wasn't just good at drafting policy proposals, I also really enjoyed it. Writing the laws of physics of a fantastical world based on our real world, moddeling both modern weapons and spells, as well as realistic survival elements is fun, and a good contrast to keep writing real world legal documents from becoming (too) stale. I hope you enjoy experiencing my work as much as I enjoyed creating it.
